Managing payment terminals can be challenging, with everything that comes with it. And if something unexpectedly breaks, it helps to know there is a basic Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process in place that is set up to avoid headaches. That is why our Ingenico terminals come with a solid base service to support your business.
What is the RMA process?
The RMA process is the procedure you follow when, as a customer, you return a defective or damaged payment terminal for repair or replacement. This process includes requesting an RMA registration and sending the terminal to the service center. There, the terminal is repaired or replaced and returned to you.
As standard, under the Basic service, Ingenico already provides a guaranteed turnaround time of up to 15 business days. The After Sales Service Center returns the payment terminals ready to use. This commitment helps you plan for repair timelines and schedule maintenance accordingly.
What does this mean for your business?
Ingenico’s standard RMA service is a strong baseline, with clear and guaranteed response times. In addition to this basic RMA process, there are also options to agree on different terms for coverage, warranty, and processing times. If you have specific needs in this area, additional arrangements are possible. This gives you the certainty that essential equipment will be back up and running quickly, in line with your requirements. Well organized, right?
